^^ Hector and the search for happiness ^^

“The basic mistake people make is to think that happiness is the goal!”

Hector, a successful a psychiatrist in a wealthy European city, is lamenting about his current state of life. He has many clients and wants nothing more than them being happy. But it seems that no matter what he does his clients stay unhappy. So he decides to go on a holiday. He would travel the world to find out what’s the cause of happiness and unhappiness for other people.

The lessons Hector learns are universal and already commonly known. But the book lays them out simply and make it easy to reflect upon it. I enjoyed this book a lot and learned so much from it for my life and my own happiness.

Lesson no. 8: Happiness is being with the people you love
